My Animal Book - Learn to Read app for iPhone and iPad

My Animal Book helps children learn to sound out words and accommodates multiple reading levels. In learn-to-read mode, tap the button below the letter to play the sound the letter or letter combination makes and change the color. This helps children develop phonemic awareness and phonics skills and learn spelling patterns. The words are carefully chosen so that they are easy to sound out. Turn off learn-to-read mode to get rid of the buttons under the letters.

Keep the same pictures and choose a level in the settings to change the text on the page so that it is the appropriate level of difficulty in order to help your child become a confident, eager reader. Great for preschool, kindergarten, and up! Also great for children with dyslexia!

For children just starting to learn to read, this app teaches letter sounds. Choose a letter at the top to limit pictures to only those that start with that letter, or choose short vowels or long vowels to limit pictures to have words with those vowels.

The green buttons allow you to sample the 4 different reading levels.
